Leading Panama to the forefront of all things digital brings unique challenges and opportunities not found in larger countries. Our two panelists have led this charge by building IT firms in Panama and have helped to make Panama an IT hub for Latin America. But they have taken slightly different paths: one has a deep understanding of cybersecurity and infrastructure and Panama’s evolution in shaping IT strategies for Latin American firms. The other has built businesses with core competencies in software development and implementation, and change management. We will learn how these business leaders have built successful technology firms that have expanded well beyond the country’s borders. We will hear about the many ways in which technological advancements have created a world of unprecedented connectivity and opportunity, but also one of constant change and uncertainty. From cybersecurity threats to emerging technologies and changing work environments, we will gain insights from two of Panama’s corporate leaders.
